Spent all last night and this morning watching Spiral. It's a bit of a departure from the normal action or ecchiness of the "standard" anime, but still good.
Narumi Kiyotaki disappeared a few years ago while pursuing the enigma of the Blade Children, leaving behind his brother Ayumu and his wife. Now the Blade Children are after Ayumu. Why? because apparently he is their savior, the one who can change their fate (which is, ultimately, their distruction)
Most of it are tests of the powers of logic and deduction and/or who can outsmart their enemy first, often with their lives on the line. There are several concurrent sub-plots which do link up in the end. It's interesting to sit there trying to figure out just how many steps ahead the guys have thought.
The ending was a bit disappointing, though... i would hardly call it an ending... The whole series built up to the revealing just who and what are The Blade Children and... you never find out.
All in all though, I really liked it, the animation is really good too.
Has anyone else watched it?
oh yeah, and its got a nice intro song too. very catchy.

I have issues!!

yes, we all know i have issues but my comp's also been playing up lately and i was wonderin if anyone 'ere could help us out..
ok, so what's happening is that every few seconds the computer just.. freezes for about half a second and then continues on... which is really really annoying. i checked the CPU Usage in windows task manager and everytime the damn machine freezes, it coincides with a massive spike.. it'd be idling at, say 5% then suddenly spike up to anywhere from 60-90%.. and this is happening every few seconds.
bleh, its starting to really piss me off.... and the weird thing is, this happens at the windows login screen too (i know, coz the mouse would lag).
oh yeah, stats... im on windows xp, my comp's a 2GH Pentium 4 with 256MB ram. and this only started about a week or so ago.
this, of course, means that i cant listen to music, which is giving me no end of grief...
anyways, any ideas? thanks.
