In the beginning this anime doesn't make ANY sense at ALL.
They just throw you into the mix, but about four eps in, you truly see how amazing this is.
The artwork and character rendering are.....just indescribable to words, maybe the best I have ever seen.
Anyone else heard of this anime?

Yes, a pretty good anime, although the ending is not....hmmm....well I expected it to be a tad bit better. All the same the damn anime is hard to follow...but not as bad as Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex. Still you have to keep wondering where some of these people are coming from (I won't spoil anything for anyone). But overall it's a decent anime, with VERY pretty pictures amp;

I agree it was pretty hard to follow at first since it did kinda seem like that just tossed you in the middle of the story and you had to decide whether you wanted to stick around or swim away. The animation was wonderful and I think they could of done a little more with the storyline. As a whole, I thought it was a great series, but the ending did suck. I was really expecting something more. And Deeo....
Well, I won't give away anything either.

to be honest, I didn't think the ending was too bad.....however it still left a lot unanswered, I think it basically left it to your imagination....Yes, a pretty good anime, although the ending is not....hmmm....well I expected it to be a tad bit better.

I didn't think it was that confusing. (not counting the ending, I hate "leave it to the imagination" endings...that just tells me that they couldn't think of anything)
If this had been a 52 Ep anime, I think we would've seen a completely finished anime, but they ran out of time and rushed the ending amp;
This was a fantastic anime though. Beautifully put together. I couldn't stand having to wait every week to see the next episode.
oh, and poor Luciola amp;

massive
they made a sequel and it looks too good for me to pass over. i'm hoping they fill in more of the backstory of their world. and they have at least one character tying it back to the original.
i think i need to netflix the original to refresh my memory
