i have a backup from months ago, but i decided against using it because my sent folder is intact. that means most of my important business exchanges are saved. i really ought to look into something else for email.

i've been using it for years for emails to my domain. but the constant compacting and and the whole "profile" thing (means no individual emails) makes it really hard to backup. this week while it was compacting i think i hit something and then all of my inbox disappeared.

There is a free edition of Google Apps too. I don't recommend doing the forwarding/sending from a personal Gmail because clients like Outlook expose it in the GUI. If you've ever seen the "sent on behalf of" that's what I'm talking about. Business editions give you better guarantees/support but I'm guessing you don't need that. If you want help setting it up you can message me or something
