The big news is that Nintendo is doing something with a 6 inch screen. Not a lot of facts yet but it's probably reasonable to think that it's going to be incorporated into the controllers.
There are indications that this console will be 'significantly' more powerful than a PS3, capable of displaying in high def, and will continue the use of motion control with motion sensors that are claimed to be more accurate than Playstation's 'move' system.
Nintendo's not exactly a predictable company. They've got a long history of rejecting technology that everyone else is embracing - witness the reluctance to use optical disks, the slow adoption of online play, and the refusal to conform to standard controller designs - but there are certain themes that they've consistently revisited.
I think the controller is going to resemble an ipad with a thicker section on the right and the left. It will have at least one analog stick and a screen that might be a touchscreen but will almost certainly be a 3D capable screen. It will probably also have a speaker and motion control built into it.
I think this will remind people of the old Gameboy to Gamecube link-up - except that it's wireless and the 'gameboy' will be an integral part of the system. I also bet that the controllers will be crazy expensive and the days of having 3 extra controllers sitting around for guests might be over.
The next Nintendo console

it's hard to keep up with nintendo, i m already 2 or 3 ds behind the times, and the 3ds costs more than the wii now.
i just finally bought the new wiimotes. i don't see myself jumping on the next console, unless it's so amazing that i cant even imagine it right now.
