- New attack style (having to constantly push X and have differing attacks go off VS hitting X once and have the same attack constantly while waiting for cooldowns to be up)
- Warriors are fucking awesome now.
- Far less reliance on locked chests and doors. DA:O it was almost mandatory to have a rogue in party if not playing one yourself.
- Like several of the redesigns. new Quari look good. Flemeth looks good. Even the new darkspawn look much better.
- New leveling talents system. Much more adaptable and customizable.
Dislikes:
- Constantly using the same maps over and over and over again.
- NPC's don't speak up as much and feel much more like NPC's rather than party members.
- Story is not as involving as DA:O and makes it a little harder to get into.
- Still no jumping.
- Still no same console Co-op.
- Minimap is still not accurate to map your on. You keep thinking there is a passage there but there's not.
- new friendship / rivalry system. I don't like the concept of actively pissing off a party member to gain access to an ability then in game putting my life in there hands.
All in all, entertaining but not as good as the first one IMO. will finish it out but don't see myself replaying it more than once (I replayed DA:O at least 4 times).

With more time spent in the game, I guess the lack of potion chugging means you have to really pay attention to how you use characters in game.
I really really dislike the overuse of the same ten maps with something blocked off of it, but I guess it's because they really rushed through the game. I hope with the next one they spend a lot more time on it instead of just milking a cash cow.
I don't think the story is that bad, since it's all what you make of it. I just wish there were more places to visit outside of Kirkwall.
I'm almost to Act 3. I'm interested in seeing how things play out.

Wouldn't make or break the game for me but it would help immensely with getting hung up on corners that you can't really tell are there because apparently a 2" ledge will stop a 6' human in it's tracks.i seriously don't understand everyone's obsession with jumping, like it makes or breaks a game

It's like some kind of a weird cross between a MMORPG, Baldur's Gate, and Diablo.
It's got a 3rd person camera view of the action. You see bad guys - you right click on bad guys to attack them and you queue up special moves a la World of Warcraft.
You can pause the game to give more exact commands to your character or your party members.
There's cut scenes with mediocre acting and dialog options that alter your alignment and relationships.
For some reason your character is always splattered in blood.

yeah, I don't get why they carried that over from DA:O. It "makes sense" but is also "really retarded"For some reason your character is always splattered in blood.

I don't WoW, and I'm playing it on a console, so.......
I like the casual meetings with people from the other games. I'm halfway into Act 3 (took a mini-break because my bf took the ps3 with him on his midnight week at work, so I played ME2 for the first time.) and I'm still having fun. Though, I really wish I could map more than 6 spells on my quick list.
I don't really care either way about the bloodsplatter. It's vaguely amusing, but I'm pretty tolerant with most things as long as I enjoy myself when I'm playing.

I like how everyone is literally a fag in the game. That being said, I three wayed with Zevran and Isabelle. Don't judge me.
Somehow I fucked up my ability to execute that relationship so I could do that with my character. I was bummed.

It's pretty funny to see your companions reactions. It kinda sucks there were only two female love interests but oh well. I don't think I've ever felt so awkward playing a game as I did when trying to tell Anders I'm not interested without having his rivalry meter shoot up to the sky.I like how everyone is literally a fag in the game.
